About Abraham Moon & Sons

For over 185 years, Abraham Moon & Sons have proudly designed and manufactured British woollen cloth of unrivalled character and quality. 

Based in Guiseley, Leeds, Abraham Moon & Sons are one of few mills within the UK that manufactures and sells cloth directly to customers from a single site, allowing them to control every stage of production, ensuring the very highest standard. 

Supplying some of the biggest names in fashion and interiors, Abraham Moon & Sons’ fabrics can be found around the world.

Project Objective

The primary objective of the workshops conducted for Abraham Moon & Sons was to introduce and promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing, aiming to enhance overall self-care and mental health awareness among their employees.

As part of Self Care Month, these workshops were designed to equip participants with practical strategies to integrate wellbeing practices into their daily lives, fostering a healthier, happier, more engaged, and resilient workforce.

Our Process

Our approach to delivering the workshops was comprehensive and interactive.

We began with a thorough understanding of the specific needs and challenges faced by the employees at Abraham Moon & Sons. This was achieved through preliminary discussions with the management team.

The workshops were structured around the Five Ways to Wellbeing framework – Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, and Give.

To deliver this:

  1. Interactive presentations: Two informative and engaging presentations to introduce each of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
  2. Group activities: Interactive activities and group discussions to encourage participation and practical application of the concepts.
  3. Personal reflection: Time for personal reflection and sharing to help participants internalise the strategies discussed.
  4. Resource provision: Providing resources and materials for continued practice beyond the workshops.

Project Outcomes

The outcomes of the workshops were really positive, reflecting both immediate and long-term benefits for the employees of Abraham Moon & Sons.

Key outcomes included:

  1. Increased awareness: Enhanced understanding and awareness of the importance of self-care and mental wellbeing among participants.
  2. Practical tools: Employees gained practical tools and strategies to incorporate the Five Ways to Wellbeing into their daily routines.
